”Stress” has become a very common thing in our everyday life. It is very important to keep our mind and body relaxed to live a hale and healthy life. Spas can be great option for those who want to beat the stress out, but not many can afford an expensive spa treatment. Here are some great tips to pamper yourself at home without spending a lot of money. I am pretty sure these steps will give the Spa effect right in your home.
1. Set the Mood
Turn on your favorite music when you are preparing for a at home spa day. Relaxing and calming music can destress yourself. Spray your room with some relaxing scents. I personally recommend lavender scent which will relax your senses and calm yourself. Turn off your lights and lit some candles, this will create a spa effect to your room. You can also use aromatic candles too.
2.Deep Condition your hair
Prepare a DIY recipe to deep condition your hair. Coconut oil is an excellent conditioner for your hair or you can beat an egg with some and lemon and apply it to condition your hair. It nourishes your hair and make it feel soft and smooth.
3.Take a Bath
If you have bath tub fill your bath tub with some hot water and add some relaxing essential oil like lavender oil to it. Add bath bubbles, soak yourself in to the bath tub and relax. Massage your soar muscle to relieve the pain. You can even add some rose petals to your bath tub to give that extra spa like touch. If you don’t have a bath tub you can add essential oils to your hot water bucket.
4. Exfoliate your skin
Scrub off those dead skin cells from your body to get that fresh young looking skin. Prepare a DIY scrub with olive oil, oatmeal, Sugar or brown sugar and coffee. Gently exfoliate your face and body with this DIY scrub for glowing fresh skin.
5. Steam your face
Steaming your face with hot water will greatly help to cleanse your skin. Fill a bowl with hot water and add some pepper mint oil to your hot water to get fresh steam from the water. Cover your head with a towel and let the steam soak in to your face. This will open up your pores and cleanse your skin.
6. Apply a face mask
A spa day can not be complete without a face mask.. you can prepare your own face mask with banana and honey or coco powder and honey or yogurt and honey. Since honey is a great natural moisturizer, it makes your skin soft and smooth.
Moisturizing is an important step in any beauty regime. Your whole body needs nourishment and giving nourishment to your skin is very important to have healthy glowing skin. Pick a good moisturizer for your skin type because there lies a huge diversity in skin types. I personally love using almond oil as a natural moisturizer.
8. Paint your Nails
Get yourself a mini manicure done at home. Soak your hands and feet in a bowl of warm water. Cut and file your nails in desired shape. Remove dead skin cells around your cuticles with a cuticle cutter. Apply a base coat and then apply your favorite nail polish and finish off with top coat. If you are good at nail art go for it and have fun with colors.
9. Get Comfortable
Wear a comfortable outfit to make yourself feel ease at home. If it is getting too cold outside wear a comfortable pair of shoes. Always wear something which gives you a comfortable feeling.
You can make a cup of green tea or fresh juice whatever you like but prepare something healthy. Watch your favorite movie or listen to your favorite music. Get some good sleep or mediate and after this you will feel fresh and energetic.
